It’s going to be ‘the wildest event of the century’ and it’s nearly here! The ‘Up in Smoke’ tour will be hosted at the NYCB Theatre at Westbury for one night only, featuring WAR, Tower of Power and Cheech & Chong! The stage will be burning up with talent from 8:00pm on Wednesday the 14th of August 2013!
War are said to have defined the early 70’s era pop music trend. The multi-platinum band were known for their fantastic fusions of rock, jazz, funk, R&B and reggae creating numerous hit singles and albums. Some of their biggest hits include the singles ‘Low Rider’, Spill The Wine and ‘Why can’t we be friends? Tower of Power deliver sell-out performances every year to their fans with their very unique sound of urban soul music. Favourite hits include ‘We Came to Play’ and ‘What is hip?’. Cheech & Chong are an iconic comedy duo with nine hit albums and eight films! They claim to be influenced by stars such as Lenny Bruce, Bill Cosby and Jonathan Winters however, the real show of talent comes from the extensive list of current stars that have followed their careers influenced by Cheech & Chong; Adam Sandler, Chris Rock and Billy Connolly just to name a few! These guys are truly inspiring legends!
