At the forefront of this captivating music was a New York City born trio, TKA, comprising members Tony Ortiz, Angel Vaquez, and Louis Sharpe. They released their debut single, “One Way Love,” which broke the Billboard Hot 100 chart as well as the Dance and R&B chart. By 1991, the trio released their biggest hit, “Louder Than Love,” a highly addictive tandem with wonderful melodies and enchanting beats.
